# Verbed
URL: https://remocn.dev/docs/typography/verbed

A dictionary entry defines a product name as a noun, then as a verb, with inflections and an example.

- Install: `npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/verbed`
- Vibe: paper
- Natural length: 174f @ 30fps

## Installation

```bash
npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/verbed
```

## Usage

```tsx
// src/Root.tsx
import { Composition } from "remotion";
import { Verbed } from "@/components/remocn/verbed";
const VerbedScene = () => (
  <Verbed headword="remocn" nounSense="a set of video scenes you copy into your repo." verbSense="to make the launch film in the same pull request." />
);
export const RemotionRoot = () => (
  <Composition
    id="Verbed"
    component={VerbedScene}
    durationInFrames={200}
    fps={30}
    width={1280}
    height={720}
  />
);
```

A headword with pronunciation appears with its noun sense, then turns into its verb sense, inflections and an example sentence. Set `headword`, `nounSense`, `verbSense` and `example` to define your own product. It ships in light and dark through the `theme` prop.

## Use when
- A brand-voice beat where the product name has become a verb among users.
- An about-the-name scene that explains what the product is and what it means to use it.
- A playful intro that frames the product in dictionary form.

## Don't use when
- You want a short punchy name reveal with no explanation — use `we-call-it`.
- The scene has a single definition line — use `which-means`.
- You want a multi-paragraph statement of beliefs — use `whole-page`.
