# POV Setup
URL: https://remocn.dev/docs/social/pov-setup

A POV label and setup line slide in word by word, then a serif italic punchline lands

- Install: `npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/pov-setup`
- Vibe: social
- Natural length: 86f @ 30fps

## Installation

```bash
npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/pov-setup
```

## Usage

```tsx
// src/Root.tsx
import { Composition } from "remotion";
import { PovSetup } from "@/components/remocn/pov-setup";
const PovSetupScene = () => (
  <PovSetup
    setup="your whole launch video rendered while you made coffee"
    lead="and it"
    punch="slaps."
  />
);
export const RemotionRoot = () => (
  <Composition
    id="PovSetup"
    component={PovSetupScene}
    durationInFrames={125}
    fps={30}
    width={1280}
    height={720}
  />
);
```

A small "POV:" label pops in, the setup line slides in word by word over a gradient ground, then the lead-in and a bold serif punch word land with a small shake. Pass `label`, `setup`, `lead` and `punch` for your own joke; it ships dark and light via `theme`.

The ground is a live gradients.sh shader (`GshGround`), installed with the component as `@remocn/gsh`. Pick another look with the `ground` preset prop.

## Props

| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `label` | `string` | `"POV:"` | The format label, shown before the setup. |
| `setup` | `string` | `"you shipped the launch video before standup"` | The setup line; words slide in one by one. |
| `lead` | `string` | `"and it"` | Lead-in of the punchline, set in serif italic. |
| `punch` | `string` | `"slaps."` | The key word of the punchline. |
| `theme` | `"dark" \| "light"` | `"dark"` | Color scheme. Ships dark and light. |
| `ground` | `GshPresetId` | — | gradients.sh preset id for the animated ground. |
| `groundParams` | `Partial<GradientParams>` | — | Overrides for the ground shader parameters. |
| `speed` | `number` | `1` | Playback speed multiplier for the whole timeline. |
| `accent` | `string` | — | Accepted for API consistency; the color comes from the ground. |

## Use when
- A social-style joke or relatable moment where a setup line precedes a one-word punchline.
- A launch clip that frames the product as a lived situation ("POV: you shipped before standup").
- A short vertical or landscape beat that needs a conversational tone before the product shot.

## Don't use when
- The setup should be typed character by character with a caret — use `typewriter`.
- You want a loud shaky hook with a huge number payoff — use `hook-punch`.
- The line should sit on highlighted bubbles like a story caption — use `story-text`.
