# T Minus
URL: https://remocn.dev/docs/numbers/t-minus

A mission clock ticks T-minus with rolling characters, then slams 'LIFTOFF' over a sunrise glow

- Install: `npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/t-minus`
- Vibe: tech
- Natural length: 108f @ 30fps

## Installation

```bash
npx shadcn@latest add @remocn/t-minus
```

## Usage

```tsx
// src/Root.tsx
import { Composition } from "remotion";
import { TMinus } from "@/components/remocn/t-minus";
const TMinusScene = () => (
  <TMinus
    from={10}
    beat={8}
    title="Liftoff"
    subtitle="remocn 2.0 is live"
  />
);
export const RemotionRoot = () => (
  <Composition
    id="TMinus"
    component={TMinusScene}
    durationInFrames={150}
    fps={30}
    width={1280}
    height={720}
  />
);
```

A big T-minus numeral counts down with one hard cut per beat while a small clock above it rolls and edge telemetry flickers. At T-0 a warm bloom fires from the bottom, 'LIFTOFF' slams in and the small clock flips to counting up. Pass `from`, `beat`, `title`, `subtitle`, `stage` and `status`. It ships light and dark through the `theme` prop. The length shown is for the defaults; in general it is `14 + (from - 1) * beat + 22`.

## Props

| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `from` | `number` | `10` | Seconds on the clock when it starts. |
| `beat` | `number` | `8` | Frames per counted second (the countdown is compressed). |
| `title` | `string` | `"Liftoff"` | The word that slams in at T–0. Set in caps. |
| `subtitle` | `string` | `"remocn 2.0 is live"` | Small line under the title. Pass "" to hide it. |
| `stage` | `string` | `"Stage 1"` | Telemetry, top left. |
| `status` | `string` | `"Go"` | Telemetry, top right, next to the live pip. |
| `accent` | `string` | `"#3B5BFD"` | Live pip and the small accent marks. |
| `theme` | `"dark" \| "light"` | `"dark"` | Ships light and dark. |
| `speed` | `number` | `1` | Playback speed multiplier; 1 is the designed pace. |

## Use when
- A release-day beat framed as a mission countdown: a T-minus clock ticks to zero and 'LIFTOFF' slams in over a sunrise glow.
- A big launch announcement that wants telemetry corners, a counting clock and a warm bloom at the moment of release.
- A short, dramatic cut from 10 down to zero before the main product reveal.

## Don't use when
- You want large cinematic 3-2-1 numerals with ring and slice transitions — use `countdown`.
- You want a sports shot clock with tenths and a buzzer — use `shot-clock`.
- The countdown is toward a calendar date, not zero — use `launch-date`.
